MetLife collaborates with Everest Funeral Concierge to help families affected by bereavement

Dublin, 30 June 2026 – MetLife today announces its exclusive collaboration with international funeral planning and concierge service firm Everest, providing bereavement guidance and support to all families covered by its Group Life policies. The expansion into Ireland follows MetLife's successful partnership with Everest in the UK which has helped support over 76,000 families since launching in 2022.

The new service will provide customers in Ireland with comprehensive funeral planning services and extensive support to help families in the event of a death. With 24/7 expert adviser support and assistance, along with a suite of online planning tools, customers and their families will benefit from help making difficult financial and emotional decisions.

MetLife customers can use the new 360Future Legacy services to complete advance funeral planning to help deliver peace of mind. There is a free online will writing service available to customers. There is also a secure, central digital lockbox for all the legal documents and vital practical details such as passwords, needed by bereaved loved ones when the time comes. Everest's innovative price finder tool allows families to trust that they are making an informed decision, even through a difficult time.

Commenting on the launch, Mark Wood, Chairman of Everest, said: "We're proud to be bringing Everest to Ireland with MetLife, building on the success of our first insurer partnership in the UK.

Together, we're extending a proven model that supports employees and up to three generations of their family with practical, human guidance at one of life's most difficult moments - helping reduce administrative burden and enable informed decisions when it matters most.

Many organisations increasingly see bereavement support as a natural extension of duty of care, sitting alongside wellbeing, mental health, and inclusion commitments. Everest is designed to complement this - strengthening support for staff while aligning with broader workforce and retention.

Our aim is simple: to give families the space to focus on what matters, while we take care of the complexities."

Wayne Gibbons, Ireland Country Lead, said: "Group Life insurance plays an important role in helping families maintain financial security following the death of a loved one. We know that bereavement and loss also bring many practical and emotional challenges alongside financial concerns for families. By collaborating with Everest, we are enhancing our Group Life proposition through our new 360Future Legacy service to offer practical supports to our policy holders in Ireland. This service is exclusive to MetLife in Ireland and the UK.

360Future Legacy gives employees and their families access to expert support around funeral planning and execution when they need it most. It helps employers provide more meaningful support to their people, while offering families reassurance during an incredibly difficult time.

At MetLife, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that support employees and their loved ones throughout life's key moments at all stages of life, and this launch represents an important step in strengthening our Group Life offering in Ireland."

The service is available to eligible MetLife Group Life customers in Ireland from July 2026. Find out more about MetLife 360 benefits.
